Balmain Community Pharmacy has been a trusted part of the Shepparton community since 1979. We are open 6 days a week from to be here when you need us the most. You can always speak with a pharmacist at Shepparton Amcal Pharmacy.
Some things change.... like our brand name. But other things don't... like our professional services, highly trained staff and wonderful customer service.
Our pharmacy is rich with Balmain's history at it's heart. In fact, we were one of the first three Soul Pattinson Chemists to open in 1880. Ever since then we've been serving the local community with a smile. Monica is one of our longest serving team members and has been with us sinc 1969. She is heavily involved in the local community and Balmain Community Pharmacy proudly support many of the local community events as we can.
Most of our team have been with us for many years and some have seen up to 4 generations of families come into the store. The team is passionate about what is happening in the local community and endeavour to keep the community involved in every part of the pharmacy whether it be a Charity Morning Tea or a fundraising raffle - if it's about our community you can rest assured that Balmain Community Pharmacy is involved.

Caroline is a community pharmacist with partnerships in several pharmacies and over 32 years of experience in pharmacy ownership.
Her passion for pharmacy was ignited as a young teenager as she worked in her father Roland's pharmacy, becoming inspired by how valuable she observed his contribution to the community was. Shortly after completing her registration she was able to fulfil her dream of buying her first pharmacy in partnership.
Caroline went on to become a Director on the Board of Blooms The Chemist, where she realised the importance of differntiating ourselves as a profession, advocating clinical pharmacy and the professional services model.
Being the mother of 3 children, Caroline understands completely the challenges women face juggling pharmacy ownership with family. However she is a firm believer in the importance of gender diversity in our industry, and that we must have programs in place to mentor and engage young pharmacists into ownership.
As a current NSW Guild Vice President and Alternate National Councillor as well as Chair of the NSW Viability Sub-Committee, she is well placed to work on such programs, drawing from her years of experience in mentoring and precepter roles.
Caroline believes pharmacy must undergo transformation to remain relevant and never has there been a better time to use the newly developed resources of the Guild to develop these services.
We need recognition and reimbursment for the valuable role we place in primary healthcare across the country, and need to finally achieve our Full Scope of Clinical Practice in our communities.
'We are at a very exciting time in our profession. We have the opportunity to embrace the professional services aspect of our training, and be at the forefront in our pharmacies to make a critical difference to people's health outcomes. Never has out profession been so appealing!'.
